[Sora stops to pet Koromaru, of course, only pausing when Minako calls for him. Grinning, he remembers to shut the front door behind him and take his shoes off before entering further. The kitchen smells amazing, and Sora meanders towards it, Koromaru at his heels.]

Hey! What'd you make this time?

Chiken pesto sandwiches, some salad, zucchini fries, pina colada punch, and watermelon sherbet for dessert.

[She's plating everything for him, a tiny smile on her face as she does it.]

Here, eat up and tell me what you think? It's supposed to be a lighter meal...but you can eat as much as you want, of course, I have more.

Wow! That all sounds amazing.

[Sora's practically salivating at the thought of it, it sounds so good. Eagerly, he takes the plate from Minako when she's done and sits down at the table with it.

He does manage to wait for Minako to sit down too, but then digs right in.]

You've never made any of this before? It's so good!

I've made the chicken pesto sandwich before, but all the rest is new.

[She grins at him, not even eating for a moment yet, just enjoying that he's enjoying the food.]

I'm glad you like it. Can I let you in on a little secret?

[She leans in and whispers.]

It's also going to be the picnic lunch for my date on Friday. [A little laugh as she goes back to speaking normally.] So I'm glad you like it! Hopefully he'll like it too.

A date?

[Sora coughs slightly. He's not sure why, but he never expected his cousin to go on dates. She's very pretty, of course, but he's never seen her date before. Or maybe he just didn't notice? Still, it's a little shocking.

Maybe it's a little jealous of him, but he hopes Minako still have time for him if she gets a boyfriend.]

That's great! I'm sure he'll love it. Your cooking is the best.

[She reaches over and pats him over the back when he coughs, an affectionate smile on her face.]

Thanks, Sora. I really hope it goes well. [She snags a zucchini fry and waves it at him.] But don't worry, you'll always get first taste test rights! David works and lives with the CEO of CUBEnix, so they order nice take out all the time, I'm sure. You need the food more for how much you're growing, you beanstalk.

[Sora laughs at that. He's still pretty short, so he's pretty sure that was a joke.]

I'm still the same height as I've always been!

[Or at least the past year or two.]

Have I met David? You have to introduce me, if you haven't.

Your skinniness makes you look taller than you are. [She bites into her zucchini fry with a grin, shaking her head.] Mm, I'm thinking you probably haven't, he's already out of college. But I'll definitely introduce you, whether or not we end up going out. He's a good guy, and a good friend even without all of the dating involved.

I'm the same weight too.

[Said slightly more defensively this time, but it's true, right? He's pretty sure he's the same.

Still, he laughs again, teasing Minako.]

I didn't know you liked older boys, Minako. Do I have to give him the shovel talk or something?

Wow, rude. He's only like four years older than me. [She reaches over and playfully pinches his cheek.] I don't think you have to give him the shovel talk, though. He's been nothing but a gentleman. Unless you want to give him one, in which case I won't stop you.

[It'd be adorable more than threatening, but Sora doesn't need to know that.]

Nah. If you say he's a good guy, he must be. Mom would say that you're old enough to make your own decisions.

[He sticks his tongue out at her in response to the cheek pinching, though. Four years older is, like, forever, though, in his opinion.]

Exactly. I'm a grown woman, I can do what I want.

[She laughs and releases his cheek, patting his hair.]

Besides, do you think I'd let anyone take advantage of me anyways?

Nah. You'd kick their butt, probably.

I'll help you, though, if you need me to.

[Because he loves his cousin like she's his sister, and he can't fathom not helping her if she needs it.]

[She winks at him.]

I'd let you hold them down.

Speaking of which, though, how is your training going? All the sword fighting skills you showed me last time were really impressive!

Oh. Uh...

[Sora hesitates a little. He hasn't actually been back to fight club since that last time they sparred. It's not that he's been avoiding it, but it always seems like he's caught up in something else...

And anyway, he wasn't that impressive, was he?
He's only a beginner.]

Not bad, I guess. About the same.

[Minako thought it was very impressive, being a newbie swordswoman.]

About the same? Ohh, it's because you've been busy with school, right? [She nods in complete understanding.] Don't worry, you'll get to train sooner or later! We'll find the time.

Um, okay.

[Busy with school. Yeah, that's it.

Honestly, swordfighting is on the same level as soccer to him. He likes it fine, but it feels like he's only doing it because he was told to.

It's a good skill to have, and he's been fighting so much lately, it's better to be prepared than not. But would he have started of his own volition? Who knows.

Time for a subject change. Sora goes back to eating to avoid having to talk about it.]

So, um, what have you been up to? Besides getting a date, I mean.

[His lackluster response leaves her confused. He'd been so eager to help her, that first time they'd sparred. But she knows a topic change when she sees one, and so she lets it drop-- for now, at least.]

Oh, the usual, getting ready for ReVA events and all that. I'm trying to see if I can get Halloween night off so I can have fun~

That'd be cool. You could see if there's any Halloween parties to go to.

[He's kind of relieved she's taken the hint, to be honest.]

College kids probably have really good parties, I'm sure.

The ones I've been to have been pretty fun! Though I still haven't been to a murder mystery party yet, and I reeeally want to go to one of those.

I've never heard of that. Is it like those dinner show things?

[Because he's seen those before.]

Hmm, kind of? Except all the guests are the show.

[She takes a sip of her drink before she tries to explain.]

Everyone at the dinner party agrees to take on a character role. Liiike, for example, you could be Mister Blue and I would be Miss Red. We become the character and mingle at the dinner party acting as them. Then, one of the guests, in a pre-arranged way, pretends to be dead. Then dinner guests have to figure out who did it for the rest of the party!

[She grins.]

Some variations just let you be your own person at the party, but I think it'd be more fun if we act like someone else.

That sounds fun! I hope you get to go to one, then.

[He pauses, thinking.]

Or you could host one or something.

I could! [She grins.] Would you wanna go, if I did?

Of course! I'll help you out however I can.
