okay so:

We were in this place... it felt very empty. There was vast inky blackness surrounding us, and some sort of floating mass of gray earth that stretched on for a while -- all I saw was you running towards me as I stood at the edge of it. I remember feeling very scared, and apprehensive, because I had no idea how I got there to begin with, but seeing you made me feel better. Even though the earth was made up of that gray material, I was standing on a patch of sand that was slowly pulling itself away from the rest of the earth. It almost kind of feels like this is where you went when I had that memory I told you about before? The one with the lucky charm? Especially because of the next part:

You ran up to me and called my name, but I still don't know what it is, it's like every time I try to recall that part it just comes up like static. The ground under my feet began to quake and I almost fell, and you took me by the hand. You reminded me of what we'd said before, when I gave you the charm, and told me that you were always with me, too. That you promised you'd come back for me. The longer you talked, the more that blot of sand I stood on floated away from you, until our hands were stretched at their limits. As our hands wrenched apart I told you that I knew you would come back for me eventually, and we were separated.

This is where the really cool part starts.

As I floated away from you you were still reaching out for me, like a sentimental NERD. As I left farther and farther away, a little ball of light fell into my clasped hands, making me look up to see where it had come from. Like fireflies in the sky, millions of little balls of light were falling down around us -- it was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen in my life. As they fell, the sky started to reform around me, rather than that blackness. Then as if by magic, an entire island started to reform around me, the trees, the landscape, everything, all with the help of that light... it took my breath away, almost as much as the lights had. The ocean had come back, the sky had come back, the island had come back... I think it was a place of some importance to us, because of another memory I had with Dante. You were really far away by that point, and the sky closed around you as you tried to call for me, obscuring you completely. I watched you disappear and the... I guess the portal that led to that other world, closed, causing all I could see to be sky.

But then, like fireworks, some of those balls of light beyond the horizon shot into the air, leaving trails behind them in their wake. They began to reform the stars in the sky... and since every star in the sky is supposed to be another world, it feels kind of like something must've happened, to restore both the island and the other worlds back to how they were.

And that's it. If we were in an anime, a really melancholy beautiful song probably would've been playing the entire time, I can feel it in my soul.
